   The President of El Salvador Nayib Bukele says El Salvador will keep buying Bitcoin despite an IMF loan deal banning public accumulation. The IMF later confirmed the purchases didn’t violate the agreement.

2. 🟠 Trump Creates a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve

   President Trump’s executive order establishes a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve and Digital Asset Stockpile, funded by forfeited crypto. The US won’t sell Bitcoin in the reserve, and the Treasury will manage other digital assets. A full audit of government-held crypto is also mandated.

3. 🚀 Trump’s WLFI Triples Ether Holdings in a Week

   World Liberty Financial (WLFI) DeFi platform has significantly increased its Ethereum holdings over the past week, tripling its position as ETH briefly dipped below $2,000. WLFI also acquired $10M in Wrapped Bitcoin and $1.5M in MOVE tokens.

4. 🔥 SEC Closes Investigation Into Yuga Labs

   Yuga Labs announced that the SEC has closed its three-year investigation into the company, calling it a huge win for NFTs and reaffirming that NFTs are not securities, following similar SEC decisions on OpenSea, Coinbase, and Kraken.

5.  ⚙️ Ethereum Pectra Upgrade Hits Testnet, But Mainnet Faces Delays

   Ethereum’s Pectra upgrade was successfully deployed on the Sepolia testnet, marking a key step toward mainnet activation. However, unresolved issues from the failed Holesky testnet upgrade may delay the launch, with developers expected to provide updates during the All Core Developers call in March.

6. 🧑‍💻 Bybit Hacker Launders Entire $1.4B Haul in Just 10 Days

   North Korea’s Lazarus Group laundered all stolen funds from the $1.4B BYBIT hack within 10 days, primarily using THORChain, but security experts believe some assets may still be recovered through blockchain tracing.
